ABOUT DR. TONI NIXON
For more than 30 years, Dr. Toni Nixon has been a psychotherapist, educator and coach and has served as a consultant to individuals and groups in the arts, medicine, education and technology fields.
She received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Rutgers University and holds a master's degree and doctorate in educational psychology from Boston University. She has trained extensively with the founder of Image Psychology, Akhter Ahsen, Ph.D. and is the author of “New Treatment of Alcohol and Drug Abuse in Akhter Ahsen’s Eidetic Image Therapy" published by Brandon House, 1997. Toni has participated in professional training programs at the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical School under the direction of Jon Kabat-Zinn and the Centre for Mindfulness, Research and Practice at the
Dr. Nixon has a diversified professional background in management, training, education, clinical practice and research. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and a licensed mental health professional. Toni currently divides her time between Hilton Head, SC, and Upstate New York, serving clients from the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe and Asia.
Drawing on a unique combination of professional training, academic knowledge, innate talent and extensive experience, Toni offers people a highly effective approach to deal with the escalating demands and pressures they face in their daily lives.
